Steven has been a financial adviser since 2000. He has an active financial advisory practice, Financial Life Advisor based in Mercer Island, WA. Steve works with clients to develop financial goals and provides investment management, retirement strategies, estate conservation, tax management and insurance and annuity products to meet client goals.
As a practicing Dentist back in 1998, Steven was consulting with other professionals on business and financial matters. After careful consideration, he decided to build a new practice that helps people reach their financial goals. By the early 2,000’s, Steven developed his own financial planning practice at MetLife and became well versed in a wide range of services that could help his client’s financial needs.
Steven joined Centaurus Financial Inc. in July of 2010 as an independent financial planner. He has been awarded the CFS (Certified Fund Specialist) designation by the Institute of Business and Finance. In addition, he earned the CLTC (Certified in Long-Term Care) designation from the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification Corporation.
His background of financial education allows Steven to implement the appropriate tools to protect his clients long-term care needs that result from living a long life.
Steven assists families in planning for the future. He is committed to helping clients through retirement planning, the maze of legal and financial complexities, from infant to senior, with all disabilities. Specializing in financial and retirement planning for children and other dependents with special needs. This requires in-depth knowledge of the federal laws as they pertain to government benefit eligibility, legal documents such as special needs trusts and guardianship's, as well as financial considerations for achieving, not just lifetime care, but a higher quality life.
As a responsive and active member in his community, Steve routinely donates his time and finances to worthy causes in the special needs community, such as the The Friendship Circle, ARC of King County, United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), and other projects year round.
Steve and his wife, Peggy, reside on Mercer Island, Washington. Steve and Peggy have 3 children: Jonathan (30), Joshua (29) and Michael (25). When not serving his clientele or the community, he enjoys playing with his grandchildren and playing as many golf courses as his spare time allows.
